Two aspirations I set early in my life were to become a music minister and become Cisco CCNA certified.
I have been blessed to serve and work in a few capacities in the Church to have met my first goal.
I have been working in the Information Technology ("I.T.") field for the majority of my working career building my technical proficiencies.
I have held several jobs starting with entry-level call center roles, up the ranks of various technical support tiers, into enterprise software support, corporate help desk, network administration (telephony), and presently infrastructure systems administration.
Here are some of the high-level technologies I have worked with:
Since first learning about Cisco in my NetAcad classes in high school, I have always had a fascination with the networking field in I.T.
I've worked with Cisco routers and switches and Meraki switches and SD-WAN in current and prior jobs.
I've pretty much lived and breathed Microsoft my entire life (with a here and there dabble in Linux or Mac). When I was a kid learning on Windows 95 (and Server 2000), up to my professional roles using all OS/Server architectures since then.
I find virtualization technology fascinating. What once required vast amounts of physical space to store seemingly endless, often repetitive servers, now can be virtually created in a fraction of the space.
I presently work with Broadcom's VMware, but have also worked with Hyper-V, and Oracle VirtualBox.
I also have extensive experience with Ubiquiti's UniFi product line. Including the Dream Machine Pro, switches, and access points.
I am currently studying for my CompTIA Server+ certification.
I have my sights set to acquire Cloud+; Azure 900, 104, and 305; CCNA and maybe CCNP.
